Sports Cars - A Look Back at History

Ever since the inception of four stroke engines and compact, low, four wheelers vehicles, fascination for fun loving folks jumped four fold. With ever increasing features which were added on cars, people enthralled with speed, sound and other such extremes, wanted to modify the cars into their way of thinking. This resulted in auto mechanics and cars designers and experts lock their head together to develop ways of making a car more streamline for high pace on road surface.

This resulted in more curvy and slim models which can reduce air drag thus reducing resistance. Coupled with more thrust engines and high octane fuel, the sports car evolved as truly a master piece in art of lighting speed.
Sports cars gained commercial and official status even before world war two. Regular races were held in various circuits with championship trophies. This later turned in fully grown sports car industry catching big sponsors. Nowadays this industry is worth millions of dollars and mega competitions are held annually. The tiers are different depending on car types, engines and drivers maturity.
